ASRT Foundation Awards More Than 70 Scholarships for 2016-2017 Academic Year

May. 2, 2016

The ASRT Foundation has announced the recipients of its entry-level and professional scholarships providing more than $235,000 in support for the 2016-2017 academic year.

“It’s a historic year for the ASRT Foundation because nine of the 71 scholarships awarded this year to deserving radiologic science professionals and students are scholarships created by individual donors,” said Keith Greer, ASRT Foundation development manager. “The generous support of these donors and corporate sponsors enables these R.T.s and students to further their education and careers. It’s a testament to the supportive nature and dedication of the radiologic technology community.”

Scholarship recipients were selected based on evidence of commitment, leadership, achievement and financial need. The Foundation’s Scholarship Review Committee evaluated each applicant and provided recommendations to the Board of Trustees. Recipients were then approved by the Board of Trustees at their spring meeting in Albuquerque.

The Foundation’s professional scholarship program helps radiologic science professionals meet financial obligations to return to school for completion of a degree or to obtain additional certification. This year’s professional scholarship recipients are:
