Marilyn Scakett Leadership Scholarship

Marilyn Sackett, M.Ed., R.T.(R), FASRT, believes that for our profession to advance, we must have strong leaders, and to have strong leaders, we must prepare them today to tackle tomorrow’s health care needs. She feels so passionately about the philosophy that she created a scholarship to encourage R.T.s to accept the challenge of leadership.

The annual award of up to $5,000 supports expenses associated with leadership education or development. The financial assistance can be used to attend a local, national, or international meeting; to obtain and meet with a leadership mentor; to pursue an advanced degree or additional certification; or to complete a profession-related educational product or course.

One award will be given in the 2023-2024 year to a medical imaging or radiation therapy professional pursuing education or a development opportunity in education management, administrative management, or a quality management initiative that includes recruiting and working with a mentor.

The application period is now closed.
