Meet the Staff


Sal Martino

Sal Martino, Ed.D., R.T.(R), FASRT, CAE

Sal joined the ASRT Foundation in 1999 and serves as the chief executive officer of both the ASRT and the Foundation. Sal came to the ASRT after a 20-year career in academia at the City University of New York. He received his doctorate from Columbia University in New York and was awarded recognition as a certified association executive in 2005.


Steve Hardy

Steve Hardy, M.S., R.T.(R)(T)(CT), CMD

Steve Hardy joined the ASRT in October 2017 as executive vice president of the ASRT Foundation and corporate relations department. Previously, he worked for more than 20 years in leadership positions in California, ranging from director of imaging/radiation oncology operations and chief dosimetrist to adjunct professor. He has a master’s degree in healthcare management from New England College.


Laura Niel

Laura Niel, CAE, CPA

Laura joined the ASRT in 2014 and serves as the chief financial officer of both the ASRT and the ASRT Foundation. Previously, Laura worked for more than 20 years in the Washington, D.C., area, providing financial leadership to companies in the health care, energy and association fields. Laura is a certified public accountant and was awarded recognition as a certified association executive in 2014. 


Rachel Davis

Rachel Davis, M.Ed., R.T.(R)(M), RCIS

Rachel serves as the program and grants coordinator for the ASRT Foundation. She joined the ASRT in 2012 in the Professional Development Department. Prior to that, she worked at the Heart Hospital of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She has 22 years of experience working in radiography, 15 years in mammography and nine years in cardiovascular and vascular technology. Rachel holds a master’s degree in education, with a specialty in instructional leadership, and certifications from the ARRT and Cardiovascular Credentialing International.


Cindee Heronimus

Cindee Heronimus

Cindee Heronimus joined the ASRT Foundation in 2018 as the Fundraising Coordinator. Cindee has more than 10 years’ experience in fundraising and event planning and more than 20 years’ experience in sales.


Corporate Relations

Janet McEwen

Janet S. McEwen, M.A., CAE

Janet serves as the director of corporate relations and business development for both the ASRT and the Foundation. She has been in association management for more than 20 years, spending the last 15 as the director of grants and corporate relations for the American College of Emergency Physicians. Janet has her master’s degree in communication studies with an emphasis on corporate and interpersonal communication from the University of North Texas.


Sally Frye

Sally Frye, B.A.

Sally serves as the corporate relations associate for both the ASRT and the Foundation. She was employed by the Foundation in 2005, following a 14-year career at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, where she served as executive assistant to the president from 1996-2004. She earned a bachelor’s degree in human services administration with a concentration in humanities from Antioch University McGregor.


Becky Montoya

Becky B. Montoya, B.A.

Becky B. Montoya joined the ASRT Foundation in 2016 as a donor relations associate and now serves as the ASRT corporate relations advertising and sponsorship representative. Becky has 20 years’ experience in sales and fundraising and more than 15 years’ experience in event management. She has a bachelor’s degree in public relations and marketing from New Mexico State University.
