The ASRT Educational Symposium starts today in Las Vegas, along with the Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, which extends through the weekend.
Make sure to attend some of the events that the ASRT Foundation has going on throughout the conference, such as the High Roller Event and the Best Affiliate Pin competition.
On Thursday, June 23, show your pride in your affiliate society at the Foundation’s Best Affiliate Pin competition. The competition will be held during the pin exchange beginning at 6 p.m. in the Expo Hall, with the winning affiliate receiving a commemorative award. The New York State Society of Radiologic Sciences won the 2015 Best Affiliate Pin competition.
To participate, make sure your affiliate’s pin is on the pin display in the Expo Hall, and encourage your members to vote. It’s only $1 per vote, and all of the proceeds from the competition support opportunities that empower the R.T. community.
The winners of the 2016 Annual Drawing also will be announced on Thursday, so be on the lookout for who won the five-night vacation for two, the iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi 64GB and the $200 Amazon gift card.
Donors who have donated more than $100 in the past year can enjoy the Donor Lounge located in Partagas 3. The Lounge will be open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday during the conference. It’s a great place to meet other donors, get away from the hustle and bustle of the conference for a moment, and get refreshments. You’ll also have the opportunity to win an Orlando getaway.
The annual meeting is the perfect opportunity for you to see what donors have made possible over the past year. Visit the Foundation booth in the exhibit hall on Thursday or Friday to learn about how donors are changing the lives of ASRT members through scholarships, outreach fellowships, international speaking opportunities and grants. Conference attendees also will have the exclusive opportunity to receive an R.T.-inspired beach towel as our thank you gift for any new donation of $30 or more.
The High Roller Event is on Saturday, June 25, at 7 p.m., and gives you the opportunity to network with R.T.s from across the country while riding the tallest observation wheel in the world and enjoying a cocktail.
