One of the most challenging aspects of conducting research in the radiologic sciences is securing funding. The ASRT Foundation and its donors are here to help both experienced and novice researchers overcome this obstacle.

Thanks to generous donors, the Foundation offers research grants of up to $10,000 to medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals each spring and fall. These grants support research that is creating a bright future for radiologic technologists by expanding the body of knowledge within the profession.

If you have a research project that needs funding, apply for a donor-funded grant from the Foundation this spring. The first step in the application process is submitting a letter of intent. Your letter of intent is your introduction to the Research and Grants Advisory Panel. It gives you the opportunity to share the merits and significance of the research you’d like to conduct. For tips on how to submit a strong letter, read the Panel chairman’s article, “Simple Steps To Secure Research Funding.”

Letters of intent for spring 2017 research grants are due Jan. 25. Visit the research grants web page and click “Begin Application” to submit your letter today.
