Publishers Press hopes that its gift to the ASRT Foundation Celebration Campaign will help continue educational support for students and R.T.s.
Founded in 1866 in Kentucky, the family-owned large-scale printing company has worked with the ASRT for 25 years. During this time, they have printed Radiation Therapist, ASRT Scanner and Radiologic Technologist, along with select Foundation materials.
The company specializes in business, niche and regional publications with small to medium print runs. They have two plants that publish various magazines and journals: one in Shepherdsville and the other in Lebanon Junction.
It was this long-time business relationship with the ASRT that led owners Nicholas X. Simon and Michael J. Simon to donate to the Celebration Campaign in 2015.
“We wanted to help support and strengthen the radiologic science profession through this campaign. We hope our gift accomplishes that,” the Simons said.
They also hope that the donated funds will help secure the present and future of the Foundation and the students, professionals and patients who benefit from the programs it offers. They want to ensure that scholarship, research grant and community outreach opportunities continue to be available to the R.T. community for many years to come.
