ASRT Foundation Selects Recipients for Travel Award

Three ASRT members have been selected to receive this year’s $4,000 Siemens Healthineers Education Journey Award to attend the educational or professional conference of their choice.

The award promotes peer-to-peer education and supports professional development in the radiologic technology community by covering conference registration fees, travel and lodging for three ASRT members.

The recipients of the 2020 Siemens Education Journey Award are:

  • Agnieszka Bellamy, B.S.R.S., R.T.(R)(M)(CI), RCES, lead cardiovascular technologist Children’s Hospital, Montefiore Medical Center, The Bronx, New York, will attend the ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting in Reno, Nevada, June 17-20, 2021.

  • Leandra Mashak, R.T.(R)(M), staff technologist at the Knoxville Comprehensive Breast Center in Tennessee will attend the United Kingdom Imaging and Oncology Congress in Liverpool, England, June 7 - 9, 2021

  • Rhonda Weaver, M.H.A., R.T.(R)(M)(CT)(BD), director of the Cabarrus College of Health Sciences -Atrium Health, in Concord, North Carolina, will attend the Siemens Innovations for Imaging Education Symposium in Las Vegas, April 20 – 22, 2021.
