ASRT Foundation Names Two Additional Siemens Education Journey Award Recipients

The ASRT Foundation has selected two additional recipients of the Siemens Healthineers Education Journey Award for 2022. ASRT members, Michelle Physic, B.A., R.T.(T) and Seema Mislmani, M.B.A., C.R.A., B.S.R.T., R.T.(T), will have the opportunity to attend the United Kingdom Imaging and Oncology annual Congress meeting this June in Liverpool, England.

The program promotes peer-to-peer education and supports professional development in the radiologic technology and medical imaging communities. Recipients will receive $4,000 each to attend the UKIO which will cover the registration fee for the conference plus travel and lodging.

The program has awarded more than $96,000 to recipients since the program started granting awards in 2016.

The two additional recipients of the 2022 Siemens Healthineers EJA are:

Seema Mislmani

Michelle Physic, B.A., R.T.(T) is the radiation therapy director at Dana-Farber and Brigham Cancer Center in Boston, Massachusetts with 25 years of experience as a radiation therapist. She is an active member of several key committees including policies and procedures, quality improvement and clinical operations. As a recipient of the department 2020 Excellence in Interdisciplinary Collaboration Award, Michelle is committed to improving patient safety and patient care excellence.

Seema Mislmani, M.B.A., C.R.A., B.S.R.T., R.T.(T), is the assistant chief operations officer and registered radiation therapist at HCA Healthcare Central/West Texas and has more than 18 years of healthcare experience. She has held positions including lead radiation therapist, clinical education supervisor, director of imaging services and administrative director of ancillary services.
