The ASRT Foundation has named 50 recipients of the 2024-25 Advancing Your Profession: Education and Professional Growth Grant program who will receive up to $500 reimbursement for the cost of continuing education, educational conferences or products, or primary or secondary certification exams offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Applicants are required to submit a short essay answering the question, “How does acquiring and maintaining certification improve patient care?” One recipient, Thomas Gardner of Gilbert, Arizona, answered in part, “To provide effective patient care, we, as medical professionals, must be aware of the latest techniques and technologies in our field of practice. Certification exams ensure that we are updated on rapidly changing technology and treatment techniques and can perform our duty to our patients with the highest level of care and expertise.”

ASRT Foundation volunteers review each scholarship application and choose the recipients. The Foundation selected one recipient per active ASRT state or local affiliate.
