Two medical imaging technologists, a nuclear medicine technologist and a mammographer have been selected to receive travel grants of up to $4,000 each that will make possible their attendance at educational and professional conferences this year. 2018 marks the third year that the ASRT Foundation and Siemens Healthineers have collaborated to award the grants.
This grant opportunity was developed to promote peer-to-peer education and support professional development in the radiologic technology community. Awarded funds help cover the cost of conference registration, as well as lodging and travel for recipients who may not otherwise be able to attend an educational conference.
The recipients of the
2018 Siemens Education Journey Award are:
Christy Chaney, R.T.(R) of Abilene, Texas who will attend the ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting to be held in Orlando, Florida in June, 2019.
Tosha Jones R.T.(N), of Las Vegas, Nevada, who will attend the Siemens Innovations for Imaging Conference to be held in Orlando, Florida, in May, 2019.
Jalaina Hurst, R.T.(R)(MR), of Shawnee, Oklahoma, who will attend the Siemens Innovations for Imaging Conference to be held in Orlando, Florida, in May, 2019.
Christina Wish, R.T.(R), of Sugar Grove, Illinois, who will attend the United Kingdom Radiological Congress to be held in Liverpool, UK in July, 2018.
