The ASRT Foundation has selected four ASRT members as recipients of the 2025-2026 Travel Grant Award. The Foundation encourages radiologic technologists to continually expand their knowledge by learning from the expertise and experience of others in the profession. The ASRT Foundation Travel Grant facilitates learning experiences by awarding four ASRT members up to $3,000 each to attend an ASRT conference of their choice. The funds cover the registration fee for the conference plus travel and lodging for the recipient.
Congratulations to the 2025-26 Travel Grant Award recipients:
Timothy Blank, B.S., R.T.(R)(CV)(CT), is a staff technologist Blank will attend the Radiological Society of North America Annual Meeting, including ASRT@RSNA, Nov. 30-Dec. 4, 2025, in Chicago. “This opportunity not only recognizes my dedication to advancing the field of radiologic technology but also allows me to connect with inspiring professionals, gain valuable insights and contribute to the collective growth of our community,” said Blank.
Donetta Gingerich, R.T.(R)(VI), RCIS, is a staff technologist at UC Health in Denver. Gingerich will attend the ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, June 25-28, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. “I am deeply honored and thrilled to receive this award. The chance to learn from distinguished speakers and collaborate with like-minded individuals will undoubtedly inspire new perspectives and approaches in my work,” said Gingerich.
Maritza Hurtado, R.T.(R)(M), is a staff technologist at Jackson Health System in Miami. Hurtado will attend the ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, June 25-28, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. “I want to express my sincere appreciation to the ASRT Foundation for supporting its members and promoting participation in these educational events. Taking part in the symposium will not only be a personal, enriching experience but will be beneficial for my coworkers and organization,” said Hurtado.
Elijah Shiffler, R.T.(T), is a radiation therapist at Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina. Shiffler will attend the ASRT Radiation Therapy Conference in conjunction with the American Society for Radiation Oncology, Sept. 28-30, 2025, in San Francisco. “Attending sessions led by leading experts and connecting with fellow professionals will not only strengthen my clinical skills but also inspire me to continually seek excellence in patient care,” said Shiffler.
