RAD-AID volunteers work at Nepal’s Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital during their first trip in 2014. As the death toll in Nepal rises into the thousands, our hearts go out to the extraordinary number of families affected. We know R.T.s are a caring group of individuals, and many are asking how they can help.

For the next week, the ASRT will match any donation to the ASRT Foundation, up to $5,000, that is designated to disaster relief. The Foundation will combine these gifts and forward them to RAD-AID International to help relief efforts in Nepal.

Since 2012, the ASRT Foundation and RAD-AID have forged a strong partnership to deliver vital radiology services to underserved and poor regions of the developing world. RAD-AID and ASRT are now working together to respond to the devastating earthquake in Nepal, which has affected 8 million people and left 2 million in urgent need of assistance.

In collaboration with the ASRT Foundation, RAD-AID is assembling a team of radiologic technologists and radiologists to work in Nepal at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in response to the crisis.

These RAD-AID team members will help care for the overwhelming number of injured patients, improve trauma radiology, assess imaging equipment damage and support reconstruction plans.

Please join us in supporting our efforts to help Nepal.
